Welcome to Carsmind! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Carsmind mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
Carsmind is a multi-platform OBD2 car-diagnostics service with an AI assistant. The Service allows you to connect to your vehicle's OBD2 port using a compatible adapter (BLE, WiFi, or USB) to read sensor data, scan diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), and receive AI-powered insights, explanations, and recommendations regarding your vehicle's health and problems.
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
If you register via email, you must complete the email verification process by entering the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your email. Unverified accounts will not be permitted to access the Service's core endpoints.
Subject to these Terms, Carsmind grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
Carsmind utilizes an internal token economy to bill for AI-powered assistant and diagnostic features. AI usage is charged based on the complexity of the query and the model used, converted to internal Carsmind tokens.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. CARSMIND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
CARSMIND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE AI-POWERED DIAGNOSTIC RECOMMENDATIONS OR INSIGHTS ARE 100% ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SAFE. THE AI INSIGHTS ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DO NOT REPLACE PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC SERVICES. ALWAYS CONSULT A CERTIFIED MECHANIC BEFORE MAKING REPAIRS TO YOUR VEHICLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CARSMIND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, VEHICLE REPAIRS, OR OBD2 ADAPTER CONNECTIVITY.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms within the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.
